How do I register?

In the store, select the course you would like to have. You can choose between monthly and one-time payment in the upper right corner. If you choose the monthly payment, note that the minimum terms for that are 3 months.

What happens after registration?

You will receive an email. There you have to click on "Passwort erstellen" to log in. Once you have done this, you will be taken directly to your course.

What do you get after registration?

After registration you have unlimited access to the course, as often and as long as you want. If you have chosen to pay monthly, you will have access to the course as long as you do not cancel your subscription. However, the minimum subscription time for each course are 3 months. Each course includes learning videos, PDF worksheets, quizzes, pronunciation training videos, audio texts and lots of new words.

When does the course start and end?

The course starts immediately after your registration/payment and ends only when you cancel your subscription after 3 months minimum! Or it ends when you want if you bought the course with a one-time payment. It is an online course where you are completely free to choose the pace of learning - you decide when to start and when to stop.

How long will I have access to the course?

If you have chosen a monthly payment, you can access the course until you cancel. The minimum term is 3 months. If you do not cancel after 3 months, the contract will automatically continue. However, if you paid for the course with a one-time payment, you have unlimited access to the course.

Can I access other courses with my subscription?

No. If you want to access another course, you must subscribe to that course. To do this, you can unsubscribe from the course you are subscribed to currently.
If you find this too inconvenient, you still have the option to buy the course with a one-time payment, then you don't have to worry about your subscription or cancellation.

How do you cancel your subscription?
You have to go to "My Account" and click on "Zahlung/Kurszugänge", choose the product you want to cancel and then click on the three (... ) dots. There you can click on "Kündigen" at the bottom of the page

What happens if you forgot your password?

No problem. You can click on "Passwort vergesse" below the input field. A link will be sent to your e-mail address that you entered at deutsch1. Click on this link and enter your new password.

How can I turn off the quiz emails?

To do this, go to your account, select "Access/Course access" on the left, then click on the three dots (...) on the far right and select "Turn off course e-mails". Then you won't get any more notifications after the quiz.

Do you need English skills?

English knowledge on a basic level is helpful when it comes to the vocabulary lists in the PDF worksheets. The videos are in German (but with English or German and English subtitles if you need that help). But you will find enough pictures and explanations in the videos, so that you can get on even with little English knowledge.
Is the certificate official?
The certificate you receive at the end is not official. You cannot apply for a job with it. It is only a proof of learning for you and you're successfully acquired language skills.
